Game Recap:

Redskins Stadium - Stephen Davis’ 75-yard touchdown run in the game’s first minute and Dan Wilkinson’s 88-yard rumble with an interception keyed the rout of the Bears.

Davis’ score started a 45-0 run for the Redskins and Wilkinson’s interception was one of five takeaways for the Washington defense. Davis’ run came as the fans were barely settled into their seats. He got a huge hole up the middle and was gone.

Davis wound up with 143 yards on just 12 carries and Brad Johnson was a very efficient 15 of 25 for 204 yards with no interceptions and two touchdowns.
