Rich Stadium - Washington scored first, but the Bills ran off 31 unanswered points over the second and third quarters to bring an emphatic end to a seven-game Redskins winning streak.
The Redskins made a bid to get back into it with the score still 17-7 in the third quarter. They were driving in Buffalo territory when Bryce Paup sacked Gus Frerotte, who fumbled. Buffalo recovered at midfield and drove for a touchdown to make it 24-7. All that was left was for Buffalo to grind out the rest of the clock.
