Giants Stadium - The Redskins rallied from a 14-0 deficit and were knocking at the door, seemingly about to take the lead. But, as usual, nobody answered and Washington was left out in the cold against the Giants once again.
A five-yard TD run by Humphries in the third quarter made it 14-10. Early in the fourth, Washington was at the New York three. Humphries’ pass found the hands of Ernest Byner in the end zone, but Byner’s hands couldn’t find the ball. Instead, it bounced into the arms of safety Terry Jackson, who did manage to gain possession for the interception.
