Game Recap:

RFK Stadium - The Redskins sacked Eagle quarterback Randall Cunningham five times en route to an ugly but welcome win over Philadelphia.

“This one probably wasn’t as fancy as the fans would like it,” said Joe Gibbs, “but we’re really happy to get out of it with a win.”

This could have been a classic blowout, but Washington continually had to settle for field goal attempts instead of touchdowns when entering Philly territory. Worse, Chip Lohmiller wasn’t converting on the opportunities, pushing four consecutive attempts to the left before finally connecting on two in the final quarter.
