RFK Stadium - The Redskins offense finally found itself, rolling up 345 yards in beating the Broncos. Washington's defense limited Denver to a mere 159 yards of total offense.
Denver threatened briefly in the fourth quarter trailing 13-3. The Broncos were in possession at the Washington 21. The threat ended, though, when Harold McLinton stuffed Floyd Little on fourth and one at the 12. A 43-yard Kilmer connection with Roy Jefferson led to another Moseley field goal and touchdowns by Taylor and Duane Thomas ensure the win.
