Game Recap:

Busch Stadium - Curt Knight kicked three of his four field goals in the third and fourth quarters to help the Redskins pull away from the Cardinals.

Although St. Louis gained just 151 yards of offense on the day, the Cardinals were very much in it when Jim Bakken kicked a 46-yard field goal with seven minutes left in the third quarter to pull his team to within 10-3.

Then Sonny Jurgensen, who was a very efficient 13 for 18 passing for 203 yards, and Larry Brown, who had 23 carries for 110 yards, helped get the Redskins into scoring position, and Knight converted. Charley Harraway’s second TD of the day and reserve back Bob Brunet’s short run topped off the scoring.
