With the Niners up 28-24, a Jurgensen to Smith connection jump-started the Redskins game-winning drive, a 72-yard, 10-play march that ended with Smith’s catching Jurgensen’s pass to cover the last 15 yards with just over seven minutes left. San Francisco was unable to move the ball on two subsequent possessions and Washington walked off with the 31-28 win.
