Pitt Stadium - The Redskins came all the way back from a 17-3 deficit to take a three-point lead in the fourth quarter, but two quick mistakes led to 14 Steeler points and a Pittsburgh win.
The Redskins led 27-24 in the final quarter when Snead threw his first and only interception of the day and former Redskin Dick Haley returned it 24 yards for the go-ahead touchdown. Before the Redskins could recover, Leroy Jackson fumbled the kickoff and Jim Bradshaw fell on it for the Steelers at the Redskin 22. Soon after that, Ed Brown threw a four-yard touchdown pass to Buddy Dial to clinch the win.
