Griffith Stadium - For the first time in his four-year career, Green Bay quarterback Bart Starr walked off the field a winner as the Packers shut out the Redskins.
Starr threw for two touchdowns, both in the decisive second quarter. His first went to Gary Knafeic for 11 yards to give his team a 7-0 lead. That was all the Packers would need as the Redskins continually committed turnovers and penalties after driving into Green Bay territory to kill their chances.
