Game Recap:

Comiskey Park - The Redskins jumped to a 17-0 halftime lead and easily beat the Cardinals. Sammy Baugh paced the attack, completing 11 of 15 passes.

Trailing 17-0 at the half, Chicago got on the board in the third quarter after Tony Kilmek intercepted a Baugh pass, giving the Cardinals possession at the Redskin 35. Four plays later, Emil Sitko ran it in from the seven to cut the Washington lead to 17-7.

That would be as close at Chicago would get. John Yonaker blocked a punt to set the Redskins up at the Cardinal three. On the next play, Sam Venuto’s run closed out the scoring.
