Polo Grounds - After getting slaughtered by a good team the week before, the Redskins explored another depth of mediocrity, tying the winless Bulldogs. New York’s performance could hardly be attributed to home field advantage as an intimate gathering of 3,678 witnessed this one at the Polo Grounds.

After a Bobby Layne touchdown pass tied it up early in the fourth quarter, each team threatened in the late going, but both came up empty.
