Polo Grounds - The Redskins season came to a crashing halt as they were trounced by the Giants, ending their season. A Redskin win would have forced a playoff for the division title. A large helping of salt was added to the wound by the fact that the main mover in the Giants’ win was quarterback Roy Zimmerman, a player that the Redskins had traded to the Giants during the previous offseason. He had a hand in three of the Giants’ four touchdowns.
